You can check your email by logging into gmail.com with your KCAI credentials. Google Workspace
KCAI provides access to Google Workspace to all faculty, staff, and students. This includes Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc. All faculty, staff and students have access to Google Drive to store documents. Please note: there is a limit of 100GB of data in your Drive. Please try to keep your files organized and remove anything you don't need - and remember to empty your trash! How to use Google Meet for a class or meeting
1. Ensure that you are signed into your KCAI gmail account in your web browser of choice (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Explorer, etc.) 2. Navigate to meet.google.com 3. From here you can start a Video Call, a Phone Call, or a Message (chat), also, if you click the ellipses on the left side of the page, you will find links to iOS and Android apps for Google Hangouts. 4. Choosing Video Call will take you to meet.google.com where you can start a group video meeting 5. Click on start a meeting, name it, allow the browser access to your microphone and camera if asked, and click Join 6. The meeting information will be displayed in a window, copy that and email it to other participants or you can add people from your contacts if you have them in your Google Contacts. 7. At the bottom right side of the screen there is a button to present your screen if you would like to share your computer screen to do a presentation or demonstration. 8. When you are finished with the meeting, you can just close the browser window or click the red phone icon to hang up. Notes: Recurring hangouts meetings can be scheduled in google calendar. For more info and a quick reference guide, check out: https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9300131?hl=en The Google Hangouts Meet (video chat) limit is normally 100 people for Education. They’ve recently increased that limit to 250 participants, in light of the current situation. Users can live stream to up to 100,000 viewers and record the sessions and upload them to Google Drive for later viewing. Google Hangouts can also be used for audio only calls, even to call phone numbers or instant messaging. You can also schedule Meetings from Google Classroom.
